Why Jade Anchor

Learning That Respects Your Experience

Designed for Adult Learners

Courses are written for people who have lived with financial decisions for decades — not for recent graduates or those who need to be persuaded that fixed income matters.

Worked Examples, Not Equations

Every concept is taught through real-world scenarios and numbered examples. Mathematical notation is kept to a minimum throughout all three programmes.

Hong Kong Context Throughout

Issuer types, regulatory context, currency considerations, and market access points all reflect the environment that HK-based investors actually navigate.

No Product Recommendations

Jade Anchor is an education provider, not a broker or advisor. Courses explain how fixed income works — the decisions about what to hold remain entirely with participants.

Structured, Unhurried Pace

Weekly sessions with reading materials allow participants to absorb each topic before progressing. There is no rush — the structure mirrors the patience that bond investing itself requires.

Tangible Materials to Keep

Participants leave each programme with written materials — allocation exercises, annotated references — that remain useful long after the course concludes.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Who are these courses designed for?
Adults aged 40 and over who want to understand fixed income properly — whether they are approaching retirement, managing an existing portfolio, or simply filling a gap in their financial knowledge. No prior experience with bonds is required for the introductory course. The intermediate and advanced programmes assume familiarity with the basics.
Do the courses recommend specific bonds or products to purchase?
No. Jade Anchor is an educational provider, not a broker, dealer, or investment adviser. The courses explain how fixed income instruments work — including how to evaluate them — but do not make specific purchase recommendations. All investment decisions remain with participants and, where appropriate, their financial advisers.
How are sessions delivered?
Sessions are held in small groups at our Wan Chai premises. Each week combines a structured presentation with time for questions and worked examples. Reading materials are distributed ahead of each session. Participants are encouraged to review the materials at their own pace between meetings.
Which course should I begin with?
If you are not already comfortable explaining what a bond yield represents, Understanding Bonds is the right starting point. If you already hold some fixed income exposure and want to think more systematically about allocation, Fixed Income Portfolio Construction may suit you. We are happy to discuss which programme fits your current knowledge — contact us before enrolling.
What is the fee payment process?
Fees are quoted in Hong Kong dollars and are payable in full prior to the commencement of each programme. We will provide an invoice and payment details after confirming your enrolment. Please contact us directly if you have questions about the payment process.
What happens if I need to withdraw after enrolling?
Our cancellation and withdrawal terms are explained clearly at enrolment. If you need to withdraw before the programme begins, please contact us as early as possible. We handle each situation with discretion and will explain the applicable terms when you enquire.
