About Jade Anchor
Built Around the Patience That Fixed Income Demands
A Hong Kong education provider focused entirely on bond and fixed income literacy for adults who take their financial decisions seriously.
Our Story
A Different Kind of Financial Education
Jade Anchor was established in Hong Kong with a simple observation: fixed income education was either aimed at finance students — dense with formulas and academic notation — or at retail investors who were being steered toward products rather than understanding. Neither served the adult who simply wanted to know more.
Our founders had backgrounds in institutional fixed income and in adult education. The combination led naturally to a different kind of offering: structured courses that treated participants as experienced adults, used worked examples in place of equations, and made no product recommendations whatsoever.
The name Jade Anchor reflects two things we value. Jade — for the patience and restraint that characterises the best fixed income thinking. Anchor — for the role that bonds can play in a well-considered portfolio, and for the steadiness we try to bring to every session we run.
Since opening our Wan Chai premises, we have worked with adults at various stages of financial life — some approaching retirement, some managing inherited portfolios, some who simply felt that a gap in their knowledge was worth closing. The courses have been refined through each cohort.
Our Mission
To give adults in Hong Kong a thorough, accessible, and completely unbiased understanding of fixed income — so they can engage with their own portfolios, their advisers, and the financial world with greater clarity and confidence.
What We Are Not
Jade Anchor is not a broker, dealer, or investment adviser. We do not manage money, receive commissions on financial products, or recommend specific securities. Our only business is education.
This independence is not incidental — it is the point. Participants can trust that every explanation is given in their interest as learners, not in the interest of any product provider.

Standards
How We Hold Ourselves Accountable
No Product Recommendations
Our curriculum is reviewed each year to ensure it contains no implicit or explicit recommendation to purchase any financial product. This policy applies to all course materials and session content.
Participant Data Protection
Enrolment information is held securely and used only for course administration. We do not share participant data with financial product providers or third-party marketers under any circumstances.
Annual Curriculum Review
Course content is reviewed before each new intake to reflect changes in market structure, regulation, and available instruments relevant to Hong Kong-based investors.
Small Cohort Sizes
Sessions are kept to small groups so that participants can ask questions, follow up on specific points, and engage with the material at an appropriate pace for adult learning.
Participant Feedback Integration
Written feedback is collected at the end of each course and reviewed by the full team. Changes to course content and delivery approach are made on the basis of what participants find most and least clear.
Hong Kong Regulatory Awareness
Course materials reference the regulatory environment that Hong Kong-based investors operate within, including the role of the SFC, bond disclosure requirements, and the distinction between education and advice.
Our Approach
Fixed Income Literacy, Built Carefully
The adults who attend Jade Anchor courses have typically spent decades making financial decisions. They have managed savings, navigated property purchases, considered pension arrangements, and watched market cycles come and go. What they often lack is a structured framework for thinking about fixed income — not because the topic is beyond them, but because accessible, unbiased education in this area is genuinely scarce.
Our courses are built around three principles. First, that understanding should precede any decision — the courses are designed so that participants leave with a clear conceptual framework, not a shopping list. Second, that the Hong Kong context matters — the issuer landscape, the role of the HKMA, currency considerations, and the availability of bond funds in this market are all addressed explicitly. Third, that adults learn best when the pace is measured and the materials are worth keeping — which is why each programme produces written output that participants can refer to long after the course ends.
Fixed income occupies an important part of a well-considered long-term portfolio. Understanding how it works — how yields move, what credit quality means in practice, how duration affects price — gives investors the ability to engage meaningfully with their own arrangements and with the professionals who advise them. That is what Jade Anchor is here to support.
